Missouri Lawmakers Continue Talks on State Employee Pay Raises

(Missourinet) Talks of increasing pay for employees of the state Missouri continue at the Capitol.
Gov. Mike Parson has called on the legislature to boost the pay for all of Missouri state employees by the end of this month.
Has is calling for a five and a half percent cost of living adjustment and $15 an hour minimum wage for all of Missouri’s roughly 50-thousand state workers.
At Monday’s Budget Committee meeting Representative Ed Lewis of Moberly says there’s another way to make the raises happen.
