Missouri Legislators Renew Push To Legalize Sports Betting

(MISSOURINET) – Senate President Pro-Tem Caleb Rowden says there could be a discussion on sports wagering next week in Missouri. The subject has heated up recently now that the Kansas City Chiefs are playing in this year’s Super Bowl and Missouri hasn’t legalized it, while neighboring states have. Sports wagering in Missouri hit roadblocks in the past over the issue of video lottery terminals being seen as a better source of revenue. Sen. Rowden says if the disagreement continues, blame will be placed on lawmakers and lobbyists for not getting a sports betting deal done.
