Missouri Legislature has Passed Coronavirus Aid Package

The Missouri Legislature has sent to the governor a coronavirus aid package. The plan gives the state between 5.8 and 6.2 billion dollars in spending power – most of which would be federal funding if it all comes in. Senate Minority Leader John Rizzo (rhymes with quiz) of Kansas City says the additional spending for the current state budget year is critically important to slow the spread of coronavirus….

Other highlights include about $1 billion in federal funds to local governments and 100 million for hotel rooms that doctors and nurses can stay in to prevent their families from getting sick.
