Missouri Man Accused of Threatening Congressman Cleaver Stays in Jail

A Marionville man is charged with threatening Missouri Congressman Emanuel Cleaver – and will be kept in jail.

63-year-old Kenneth Hubert’s history of threatening other public officials with lynching and other violence showed he had “complete disregard” for law enforcement and that he could be a flight risk. A federal judge agreed – saying WORDS Have meaning.

Cleaver said in a statement that Hubert is not in his district- but QUOTE “Hate has such bad eyesight that a thrown rock might hit anyone within range. Maybe it’s good that he remain in a place where there are no rocks,” Cleaver said.
