Missouri National Guard Working to Boost Recruitment

(MISSOURINET) –  Military recruitment has declined nationwide since the pandemic.

Lieutenant Colonel Sandy Stover, with the Missouri National Guard, says a drop in high school visits and private businesses offering attractive incentives are a couple of the reasons for the decline.

She goes on to say that military service is an elite place to join.

Recruits are required to pass tests, along with medical and legal qualifications.

Several different jobs have a 20-thousand-dollar signing bonus, paid college tuition and other benefits.
