Missouri Sailor Killed at Pearl Harbor to be Buried this Week

A U.S. Sailor from Missouri who was killed at Pearl Harbor will be buried this week.
A funeral service with full military honors is planned for Navy Sailor George Merton Gooch of northern Missouri’s Laclede. He was 22-years-old when he was killed in the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. Missourinet affiliate KWIX in Moberly reports his remains were identified last year. Gooch will be buried this Saturday at 1 pm in the Laclede Cemetery.
