Missouri State Fair Highlighting Food Insecurity In Annual Event
This year’s Missouri State Fair will once again highlight an event to feed Missourians during the Missouri State Fair.
Mark Wolfe is the director of the Missouri State Fair. The Food Drive on Tuesday, August 15th will allow attendees who bring in two non-perishable food items or give a $2 donation to Feeding Missouri to pay a 2 dollar gate admission. There will also be some $2 carnival rides and $2 specials from vendors.
Missouri FFA will host their annual Food Insecurity Service Day held in the Assembly Hall, with over 700 FFA members and agriculture leaders serving those in need. Their goal is to reduce childhood food insecurity in Missouri and package 160,000 child-friendly meals that will be distributed among food banks across our state.
This Missouri State Fair begins August 10th and runs through August 20th at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia.
