Missouri Western Announces 1st Day Enrollment

Missouri Western reported a higher number for first-day enrollment for this year in relation to last year. The first day enrollment was 4,204 students. The university says much of the increase is due to a more efficient and accessible enrollment process for high school students enrolled in the Early College Academy. The university says by the time the official census is taken in the fourth week of classes, there may be some declining figures.

Freshmen transfers from other colleges are up substantially, from both community colleges and four-year institutions.

Early numbers showed increases in incoming freshmen from Buchanan, Jackson, Andrew, DeKalb and Clinton Counties. The number of freshmen from Buchanan County is up more than 12 percent.
