Missouri’s COVID-19 Case Count has Reached New Heights

Missouri’s COVID-19 case count has reached new heights.

Missouri reports Wednesday nearly 3,000 new coronavirus cases – an increase of about 1,000 cases from the day before. The last time Missouri reported this much of an increase was in January.

The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has issued a hotspot advisory for Adair, Macon, and Randolph counties in northern Missouri. Health leaders have pointed to the delta version of the virus creating the climb in cases, mostly among unvaccinated people. The state’s vaccination rate is at about 47%.
