Missouri’s Economy Allows For Restricted Funding Release
Another sign that Missouri’s economy continues to show improvement was presented last week when Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced that some restricted funding from the budget was released. Missouri 2nd District Representative J Eggleston says the withholdings were announced due to the uncertainty.
Income tax revenue was essentially transferred from April to July since the deadline for income tax was moved back.
Last week, the governor announced the release of $40 million dollars of general funds which had been previously restricted. The governor also announced $95 million in CARES Act funding will be designated in support of K-12 Education, PPE for Independent College and Universities, Child Care Providers, and Assisted Living Centers and Residential Care Facilities.
