Missouri’s Lawsuit Attempting to Ban Schools from Requiring Masks Heads to Court this Week

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s lawsuit heads to court this week that attempts to ban Columbia Public Schools and any school district in the state from requiring masks. During Tuesday morning’s hearing in Boone County, the American Civil Liberties Union of Missouri will ask the court to let it intervene in the case. Tony Rothert, the ACLU’s Director of Advocacy, says Schmitt’s lawsuit ignores students with disabilities.

Schmitt argues that parents and families should be the ones to decide if their children should wear masks in school.
