Missouri’s Military Preparedness and Enhancement Commission Makes Stop in St. Joseph

The Missouri Military Preparedness and Enhancement Commission has wrapped up its meeting this week at the Air National Guard base in St. Joseph.

Missouri Military Advocate Harry Roberts says the commission met as the 139th Airlift Wing nervously awaits to hear if it will receive the upgraded C-130 cargo planes…

Roberts believes improvements at Rosecrans Memorial Airport and the move to a new headquarters should go a long way to keep the Air National Guard in northwest Missouri.

The 139th Airlift Wing did NOT receive the upgraded planes in the first round of their allocation and hopes to get them during the next round.
