Missouri’s Next State Treasurer is an Immigration Lawyer and First Person of Color to Hold the Office

(MISSOURINET) – The next person to handle Missouri’s bank account and investments is Vivek Malek. Governor Mike Parson has appointed Malek as the next State Treasurer. Malek is an immigration lawyer from the St. Louis suburb of Wildwood.
Malek will be sworn into office in January after State Auditor-Elect Scott Fitzpatrick is sworn in.
