Missouri’s Seven Veterans Homes Are Getting Help to Boost Their Staffing Levels

Missouri has been awarded a federal grant to help bolster staffing levels at the state’s seven veterans homes.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded the grant to provide a one-time 780-dollar differential. Paul Kirchoff, executive director of the Missouri Veterans Commission, says this grant is for full-time registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and support care assistants.
The grant also allows the payment for current and future candidates hired into those positions through July 1.
