Missouri’s Unemployment Rate Comes in At 3.9% for January

JEFFERSON CITY, MO (Missourinet)  Missouri’s unemployment rate was three-point-eight percent for January.

The state’s jobless rate is down slightly from the revised number of three-point-nine percent in December. Officials say there were more unemployed Missourians and fewer residents working in December than originally estimated. Employers in Missouri created 91-hundred jobs in January while the estimated number of unemployed people dropped by more than two thousand. The unemployment rate is down more than a full percentage point from January of 2021. Many companies in the state are still desperately looking for workers.
