The Missouri Board of Education could vote Tuesday on a proposal that aims to hire more K12 substitute teachers during the COVID-19 time.
Tyler Madsen with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education says the state hopes to reduce the training requirements for candidates to get licensed.
The training cost will be about $100-$200 per candidate, plus another $50 for the license.
