MO Congressman Applauds Federal Court Decision On WOTUS

(MISSOURINET) – Northern Missouri Congressman Sam Graves succeeded in passing legislation overturning a controversial expansion of the Clean Water Act only to be met with a presidential veto. Graves, a Republican, says he knew his bill would pass the Senate, even though it is in the control of Democrats. . .

Graves says he will try to override the veto, though he admits that is a long shot. The Congressman has a better chance at succeeding in the courts, where an Idaho couple’s challenge of the Waters of the United States rule is being considered by the US Supreme Court. The rule would expand federal authority of the nation’s waterways.
