Mo-Dot Northwest Bridge Bundle Meeting In Chillicothe Tonight

The Missouri Department of Transportation will be hosting an informational meeting tonight in Chillicothe to discuss the Northwest Bridge Bundle, a group of 34 poor-condition bridges in north central Missouri slated for replacement or rehabilitation.

Most of the 34 bridges are on low-volume roads with less than 400 vehicles per day, though some do carry higher traffic loads. Many of these bridges have been in place, on average, for 71 years. The project will be built using the design-build delivery method which includes hiring one contracting team to complete the design work and build the highway improvement under one contract.

Tonight’s meeting in Chillicothe is one in a series of four open-house style public information meetings that will identify the 34 bridges currently being proposed for inclusion in the project, anticipated construction and traffic impacts at each bridge, and a broad overview of the planned schedule.

Tonight’s meeting will be held from 4 until 6 P.M. at the Chillicothe High School, located at 2801 Hornet Road in Chillicothe.

Another meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 21 at Milan High School, also from 4 until 6 P.M.
