MO-Dot Seeking Input On Major Metro Area Interstate Intersection

The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking public input about a major northland Interstate Highway intersection and the improvements that may need to be made at that location.

MO-Dot is hosting an in-person public meeting as part of the I-29/I-35/U.S. 169 Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study. The PEL study focuses on the I-29/I-35/U.S. 169 corridors to develop both short-term and long-term alternatives for highway improvements.

Those issues include improving safety for travelers, reducing congestion including heavy truck traffic, addressing pavement and bridge conditions, and positioning for future transportation needs.

The open house style public meeting is being held from 4 to 6 P.M. Thursday, October 27 at Northland Neighborhoods Inc., which is located at 5340 Chouteau Trafficway in Kansas City.

Those wanting to contribute can come and go anytime between 4 and 6 P.M.

A virtual on demand meeting will be available online on Starting Friday, October 28 through November 13. A link will be provided on the project webpage.
