MO House Passes Crime Package

The Missouri House has given a green light to a wide-ranging crime package.

Highlights of the plan receiving initial House approval include changes to jury duty pay, tougher punishment for people who fire a gun into the air to celebrate, and it would create mental health treatment courts.

Salem Representative Ron Copeland says his bill would also put convicted murderers on a registry when they are out on parole…

The legislation requires another House vote of support before moving to the Senate for potential changes.
