MO Public Defender System Experiences Jump in Homicide Case Intake Rate

(Missourinet) The pandemic has disrupted Missouri’s court system for almost two years. State Public Defender System Director Mary Fox tells us that work is moving along within the system, but it is not back to normal yet.
Fox says her office has experienced a 20-percent increase in its intake of homicide cases within the last year.
