February 2, 2023 9:48AM CST
The Missouri Senate opened debate for the Parents’ Bill of Rights on Wednesday.
The bill would prohibit school districts from teaching Critical Race Theory and allow parents to see curriculum. Curriculum would be viewed through a statewide education portal.
Senator Karla May opposes the Parents’ Bill of Rights. She says the bill takes away from the real problems in the education system.
The Senate adjourned without voting. The bill will be taken up at a later date
