Moberly Man Suffers Serious Injuries in Clinton County Crash Wednesday Night

A Moberly man suffered injuries in a Clinton County crash Wednesday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 6:20 Wednesday night on U.S. 169, a mile north of Gower, as 61-year-old Steven R. Green drove southbound.

Troopers say Green fell asleep, crossed the center of the roadway, and struck the towed unit of northbound Peterbilt.

Green’s vehicle went off the east side of the road, struck a fence, and came to a rest on its top in a creek.

Green suffered serious injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Saint Joseph.

Authorities say Green did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
