MoDot and KDot Hosting Meeting About K-92 Bridge Replacement
State transportation departments from both sides of the state line will be holding a public information meeting about the future replacement of the bridge that connects Platte County, Missouri with Leavenworth, Kansas.
The Kansas Department of Transportation, along with the Missouri Department of Transportation, are hosting a public information open house for the K-92 Centennial Bridge replacement project on Tuesday, February 21 from 4 until 7 P.M. at the Riverfront Community Center located at 123 south Esplanade Street in Leavenworth, Kansas.
At the open house, attendees can learn about the project background, design process and work schedule. KDOT staff and project team members will be available to answer questions. There will not be a formal presentation.
Replacement of the existing bridge has been deemed necessary as the structure is nearing the end of its useful life and major repairs to the steel structure will become more numerous and expensive over time. The project is expected to begin in 2026 and be completed in 2029.
