MoDOT Provides Update on Atchison County U.S. Route 136 Resurfacing Project

The Missouri Department of Transportation says crews will begin work on the last segment of flood remediation on U.S. Route 136 in Atchison County this week.

Beginning Wednesday, October 20, Phillips Hardy, Inc., contracted by the Missouri Department of Transportation, will move traffic control on Atchison County U.S. Route 136.

Crews will begin work at the Missouri River and move east toward Rock Port.

During this time, crews will narrow U.S. Route 136 to one lane.

Access to Atchison County Route D and D Avenue will also be closed for two weeks.

Traffic will continue to be directed through the work zone by temporary traffic signals.

A 12-foot width restriction and 14-foot height restriction will be in place throughout the project.

MoDOT expects to finish the project in December.
