Monday Afternoon Rear Ending Accident Leaves Two With Minor Injuries

Two area residents were left with minor injuries after a tractor trailer rear ended a passenger vehicle in traffic Monday afternoon.

According to the accident report from the Highway Patrol, 22-year-old St. Joseph resident Sienna V. Lory was driving a 2017 Chevy Malibu southbound on I-29 in Platte County at 2:13 P.M. Monday when she slowed for traffic congestion and her vehicle was struck from behind by a 2008 Peterbilt being driven by 44-year-old Ravenwood resident Nathan E. Carroll.

Both drivers reportedly were wearing seat belts at the time, but both suffered minor injuries and were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph for treatment.
