****postponed**** More Lane Closures For Kearney I-35 Exchange Project

****MO-Dot announced Friday this work has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.

The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced another round of lane closures on Interstate 35 near Kearney as part of the project that is building a new interchange at 19th Street in Kearney.

MO-Dot says crews plan to close the right lane of both north and southbound I-35 from the Fishing River bridge to Missouri Route 92 for asphalt paving work at 6 P.M. Friday May 19. The lane closures are expected to run through Sunday evening at 6 P.M.

While this is not a complete closure of the Interstate drivers will likely experience delays.

This work is part a larger project constructing a new interchange on I-35 at 19th Street about one mile south of Route 92 that crosses over I-35 and includes ramps to and from I-35. The improvements will also include bike lanes and will accommodate pedestrians with trail and sidewalk.

All work is weather permitting.
