More Roadwork Planned For Mercer County

A section of Mercer County Route M will close for a culvert replacement this week. Local maintenance crews from Missouri Department of Transportation will close the road from two miles east of Mercer to Route W on Thursday, September 17, between 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. During the closure, motorists will need to use an alternate route.

MoDot also says a two-day full road closure and two-day lane closure for utility work will disrupt traffic on Mercer County Route M next week when TSi Geotechnical, Inc. will close Route M at the Muddy Creek Bridge, three miles east of Mercer, on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 22 and 23, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.

Motorists will need to use an alternate route.

On Thursday and Friday, Sept.ember 24 and 25, the roadway will be narrowed to one lane at the same location.

Flaggers will direct motorists through the 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. work zone. Drivers should stay alert and obey all traffic signs and flaggers to safely navigate around the work zone.
