MO’s Newest Supreme Court Judge says Serving on the High Court is Not Where She Thought She Would Land

Missouri’s newest Supreme Court judge says serving on the high court is not where she thought she would end up. Judge Robin Ransom tells Missourinet she had plans in high school to become a rock star and then she wanted to be the next Jodie Foster FBI Agent, like in the movie “Silence of the Lambs”. Ransom says when she realized being a rock star was not realistic and the obstacle course in “Silence of the Lambs” was a deal-breaker, she instead decided to go to law school…

She previously served as a Missouri Court of Appeals judge before Governor Parson appointed her last month to the Supreme Court. Before serving there, then-Governor Matt Blunt appointed Ransom in 2008 as a Circuit Judge in St. Louis.
