Mound City Teen Injured in Sport Bike Crash Monday

A Mound City teen suffered injuries in an Atchison County crash Monday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 4:00 Monday afternoon on Highway 111 at Calhoun Street in Rock Port, as 18-year-old Hunter A. Gordon drove northbound on a sport bike.
Troopers say Gordon swerved to avoid an eastbound vehicle driven by 68-year-old Rock Port resident Harley S. Landsdown.
Landsdown’s vehicle still impacted the front driver’s end of Gordon’s bike, ejecting Gordon in the process.
Gordon’s bike ultimately came to rest under Lansdown’s truck.
Gordon suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Rock Port Family Medicine.
Authorities say Gordon did wear proper safety gear at the time of the crash.
