Mount Ayr Council Holds Discussion On City Website Development
Mount Ayr’s Board of Aldermen held an extended discussion regarding the city’s website during a meeting held on Monday night.
The council signed an agreement for website development for $10,000 with an independent contractor in November of 2019. The council received notice that their domain has expired. The contractor was present at the meeting and said he had communicated the domain’s expiration date to the city but did not receive a response. The city has paid $5,000 of the contracted cost. A motion to move away from the independent contractor failed due to the lack of a second. The city will continue to explore their options during a future meeting.
Council members approved revised minutes from a July meeting regarding the application for CDBG Rehabilitation Grant.
The Mount Ayr Council received word that the new tornado siren will be installed on November 15th.
No action was taken on a request to purchase a tailgate sander for a new dump truck being purchased by the city.
