Mount Ayr Council To Request Proposals For City's Solid Waste Collection Service

Mount Ayr’s Board of Aldermen directed city officials to request proposals for interested parties for the city’s solid waste collection. The action came at a meeting on Monday night. The action doesn’t necessarily mean that the city plans to contract out the services which are currently done within the city department, but the city has received interest from one interested party.

Council members also approved their 28E Agreement between the Mount Ayr Fire Department and the Midwest Regional Dive Team.

Matt Starmer was approved to a 3-year term on Mount Ayr’s Park Board.

The council also approved two liquor licenses at the session.
