MSHP Releases Labor Day Traffic Statistics

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 13 people died in traffic crashes during the 2020 Labor Day holiday weekend. The 2020 counting period ran from 6pm Friday until 11:59pm Monday evening.
The patrol investigated 274 crashes that resulted in 124 injuries. There were 145 DWI arrests and 89 drug arrests. Last year, the patrol investigated 284 crashes with 118 injuries. There were 9 fatalities in 2019 statewide and 4 investigated by the patrol.
The patrol also reported 15 boating crashes with 6 injuries and no fatalities. There were 7 Boating While Intoxicated arrests and 12 drug arrests. There were no drownings.
There were no highway fatalities in the Troop H Region of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
