Mt Ayr Community Schools Receive Donation for Suicide Awareness

A $9,000 donation was made to the Mount Ayr Community Schools from the Trent Stewart Family. The presentation, which was made possible from the Trent Stewart Memorial Run, was presented to the school during Friday’s basketball games.
The first Trent Stewart Memorial Run took place on September 22nd as a part of Ayr Days. The purpose of the run is to continue Trent’s passion for running and spreading suicide awareness.
Funds raised from the event go back to the Mount Ayr Community Schools to provide speakers and other resources for the student body structured around suicide awareness.
