MU Master Gardner Program To Be Offered

University of Missouri Extension will offer an online Master Gardener Program later on this summer.

The new session of the online Master Gardner program will begin August 14th and will include 14 online sessions.

Topics include basic botany, soils and plant nutrition, vegetable gardening, fruit production, landscape design, woody ornamental plants, herbaceous ornamental plants, turf management, insect and disease management and pesticide safety.

Core training will be the first step toward certification as an MU Extension Master Gardener. Trainees must also complete at least 30 hours of volunteer service. Local Master Gardener coordinators can help online trainees find volunteer opportunities to meet the service hour requirements.

The deadline to register for the fall session is Aug. 13. For more information, visit mg.missouri.edu.
