South Harrison graduate Cole Taylor of Bethany finished in 5th place in the national SkillsUSA carpentry contest. Cole took part in the Construction Technology program at North Central Career Center which is instructed by Eric Sweat.
Carpentry competition contestants are judged on accuracy, ability to read and interpret blueprints, workmanship and the proper use of tools and materials. Safety practices and procedures are also judged as a component of each contestant’s overall score.

Cole is the son of Scott and Rhonda Taylor. He is a 2021 graduate of South Harrison High School in Bethany.
