NCMC Plans Mascot Tryouts

North Central Missouri College says tryouts for Cap’n Patch the Pirate will be held in the late summer or early fall.

Cap’n Patch is the mascot for NCMC. There will be two students selected for the upcoming academic year and will receive $350 each semester. That scholarship is funded through the NCMC Foundation and can be used for tuition, fees, books, or supplies.

Interested students must be current or incoming students for fall 2020 and will need to be enrolled full-time. Tryouts could include improv, a short interview with a judging panel, and a short dance routine or skit. Cap’n Patch will perform at various campus and community events including, but not limited to NCMC athletic events, Dance Wave routines, community parades, NCMC homecoming, and special events.
