NCMC Staff Recognized For Life Saving Action
Members of the North Central Missouri Ketcham Center staff were recognized by the Grundy County Ambulance and Trenton Fire Department for saving the life of a patron who had suffered cardiac arrest at the Ketcham Center.
Coach Nate Swann, NCMC student Cole Henderson, Lathan Croy, and community member Shanna Griffin were recognized for calling 911, beginning CPR, and applying an Automatic Electronic Defibrillator to keep the patron alive until help arrived so that the individual could be transported an emergency room and eventually to a cadiac hospital. The patron will be able to make a full recovery.
Ketcham Community Center staff are fully trained in life-saving techniques such as CPR and using an AED.
