Nebraska Man Injured in Holt County Crash Sunday Night

Troopers say a Weeping Water, Nebraska man suffered injuries in a Sunday evening crash in Holt County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 6:20 Sunday evening on I-29, three miles south of Mound City, as a vehicle driven by 73-year-old Wyman R. Mather drove northbound.

Authorities say Mather’s towed unit became unattached, causing his vehicle to swerve into the passing lane of I-29.

Another northbound vehicle driven by 54-year-old Bellevue, Nebraska resident Terry J. Wilson struck the rear driver’s side door of Mather’s F-150.

Both vehicles traveled off the west side of the road into the median.

Troopers say Mather’s vehicle struck an embankment and overturned before coming to a rest.

Mather suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Saint Joseph.

Authorities listed no injuries for Wilson.

Both men wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
