Nebraska Pair Injured in U.S. 136 Crash This Morning

Troopers say two Nebraska residents suffered serious injuries in an Atchison County crash this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on U.S. 136, just west of Rock Port, as a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Kenneth D. Holmes drove eastbound.

Authorities say Holmes began to skid and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle attempting to make a left turn.

Holmes and a passenger, 44-year-old Stephanie D. Holmes, both suffered serious injuries and sought treatment at the Fairfax Community Hospital and later the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Troopers listed no injuries for the westbound driver.
