Nebraska Teen Seriously Injured in Rollover Crash

BUCHANAN COUNTY, MO – An 18-year old driver from Nebraska suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle accident overnight in Buchanan County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Mason Norwood of Bellevue, Nebraska was northbound on I-29 approximately 4 miles south of St. Joseph when his vehicle went off the side of the roadway just before 2 a.m. The vehicle struck a crossover and went airborne. It then landed on its wheels, struck the median and rolled, ejecting Norwood. The vehicle came to rest on the passenger side.
Norwood was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
