Current Missouri Governor Mike Parson won the Republican nomination for the office Tuesday, eliminating Cameron’s Dr. Jim Neely from the race.

In the Governor’s race on the Republican side Parson took 75-percent of the vote with 510,471 votes, easily clearing second place finisher Saundra McDowell who took 83,191 votes for 12.28-percent of the vote. Dr. Neely took third in the primary with 59,451 votes, or 8.7-percent.

On the Democrat side State Auditor Nicole Galloway cleared 84-percent of the Democrat ballots cast on Tuesday, garnering 453,331 votes. Eric Morrison was a distant second place, taking just 32,266 votes or 6-percent.
