Norborne Teen Seriously Injured in New Year’s Day Crash

A Norborne teen suffered serious injuries in an Carroll County accident New Year’s Day.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred on Highway E, east of County Road 191, when a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Lane T. Hawkins was heading westbound.
Troopers say Hawkins traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a bridge, and traveled down an embankment.
Hawkins was taken by air ambulance to Liberty Hospital for treatment.
Authorities say Hawkins was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
