North Harrison Board Approves Health Insurance Coverage

North Harrison School Board members approved their health insurance coverage for staff and voted to increase the number of personal leave days for staff members of the district during their meeting held this week. The actions came following a proposal from the CTA. The health insurance increase was approved for 3.2 percent. The district will contribute $525 dollars per month for a health insurance premium or health savings account. The number of personal leave days was increased from two to four. The number of sick days for each employee will be reduced by 2. That policy will take effect with the start of the 2021-22 school year.

High School Principal Alan Koch was offered a one year contract. Elementary Principal Susan Allen will be offered a one-year extension for her contract. Certified teaching contracts were offered for Dylan Hogan for junior high and high school science and Krissi Cox for kindergarten.

A retirement resignation was accepted from Patty Rinehart as director of the district’s Parents As Teachers program.

North Harrison will chose two directors from 3 candidates with their April 6th election. The candidates include Kara Craig, Chyanne (Grabill) Pulliam, and Jeremy Rinehart.
