Northern Missouri Democratic Congressional Candidate Battled COVID This Year

The Democrat running against GOP Congressman Sam Graves in rural northern Missouri is calling on Congress to pass another coronavirus stimulus package, because the money from the first one has run out.

Platte City Democrat Gena Ross says people and businesses are still hurting, and says members of Congress don’t feel the economic pain that citizens do.

Ross tested positive for COVID in March. She suffers from asthma and was hospitalized twice in Kansas City, for a total of nine days. The 6th district, which is larger than nine states, includes 36 counties and the towns of Chillicothe, Kirksville and Bethany.
