Northwest Bridge Bundle Meeting Three in Milan Tomorrow
The Missouri Department of Transportation will be hosting an informational meeting tomorrow in Milan to discuss the Northwest Bridge Bundle, a group of 34 poor-condition bridges in north central Missouri slated for replacement or rehabilitation.
Many of these bridges have been in place for an average of 71 years.
The project will use the design-build delivery method, which includes hiring one contracting team to complete the design work and build the highway improvement under one contract.
Tomorrow’s meeting in Milan is one of four open-house style public information meetings that will identify the 34 bridges currently being proposed for inclusion in the project, anticipated construction and traffic impacts at each bridge, and a broad overview of the planned schedule.
The Milan meeting will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at Milan High School, at 373 South Market Street.
Another meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 28, at the Putnam County Library in Unionville, from 4 until 6 p.m.
