Northwest Missouri State Fair Begins 5-Day Run

The Northwest Missouri State Fair begins Thursday for the first of its 5-day run. The first day of the fair will include the parade which will run from the Bethany Community Gym. The registration begins at 5pm. It will leave from the Community Gym, head west on Main Street, and then south of 12th street to the fairgrounds. The parade and cruise will be open for entries from clubs, organizations or individuals. It will leave the Bethany Community Gym at 6pm.

The Pettijohn’s Family Entertainment Center will host the Girls and Boys Baby Show. The Girls Baby Show begins at 3pm. The Little Mister and Miss Contest follows the Boys Baby Show.

The Thursday evening grandstand event will be Ben and Lauren Johnson as Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline. Their tribute performances have been very popular when held in the area in previous appearances.

The first carnival armband session begins Thursday evening.

This year is the 106th Northwest Missouri State Fair.
