Northwest Search Committee Names Finalists In Presidential Search

Northwest Missouri State University has announced the names which have been identified by the search committee to be finalists to become Northwest’s 11th university president.

The finalists include Dr. Michael Godard, provost at Southeast Missouri State University, Dr. David Jones, the vice president of student affairs and enrollment management at Minnesota State University, Dr. Kent Porterfield, vice provost of student affairs at Gonzaga University, and Dr. Lance Tatum the senior vice chancellor for academic affairs and chief academic officer at Troy University.

The finalists will visit the Northwest campus in Maryville and will participate in town-hall style meetings which will be open to students, employees, alumni, and community members. They will also meet with stakeholder groups. The public forums will be available viz zoom sessions.

John Moore is the chair of the Northwest Presidential Search Committee and is the chair of the Board of Regents. He will conducting an information session to discuss the presidential search Friday at 3pm through zoom. Those wishing to join the session may attend with this link. There will also be a line for individuals to submit questions for finalists to answer questions during the public forum provided.

Northwest is partnering with Anthem Executive to recruit its next president.
