Odds on Sports Betting Bill in Missouri Passing are Better this Session

(MISSOURINET – ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO) – Some Missouri legislators are taking another gamble on passing sports betting laws this year, but this time the odds are a little better– says one bill sponsor Rep. Phil Christofanelli, a Republican who represents part of St. Charles County:

He says people are betting online with apps out of Eastern Europe and the Cayman Islands.

Rep. Phil Christofanelli says the tax rate could be between 8 and 12 and could bring in an estimated 15 million dollars in tax money each year.
