Omaha Man Killed, 3 Others Injured in Holt County Crash

MOUND CITY, MO – Three people were injured and one person died when their vehicle was struck on I-29 in Holt County.

The accident took place early Sunday morning just south of Mound City.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a vehicle operated by 21-year-old Omaha resident Thomas Sule was stationary in the northbound driving lane when it was struck by a semi driven by 47-year-old Damion Zachary of Kansas City.

Sule’s vehicle came to rest off the roadway. The accident report says 20-year-old Deng Arop of Omaha was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old Omaha resident was seriously injured. The driver and the other two injured parties were taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
